We invite you to a seminar as part of the program
"The Now-for-Next"

The main ideas that will be presented by Margherita Spagnuolo Lobb at this seminar are described in her book -

“The Now-for-Next in Psychotherapy. Gestalt Therapy Recounted in Post-Modern society." (2013)

Молодая семья

Every psychologist working with children knows that today they suffer from anxiety-related problems,  that can be at the same time physiological (panic disorder, insomnia, fears, hyperactivity, difficulty concentrating, eating disorders) and difficulties in relationships

(social isolation, poor academic performance, feelings of ineffectiveness).

It seems that in family relationships there is no opportunity to create a sense of security and support in children.

Psychotherapy with children should focus on building relationships.

A child's sense of self is a perception of what he can create in his environment and life situations. He should be recognized and supported.

The network of contacts of the child's phenomenological field - a relative reality into which the therapist must also be involved.

According to the model of the Gestalt approach when working with children, the psychotherapist is required to understand the peculiarities of the child's creative adjustment, sometimes very lively and unexpected which is manifested directly during the psychotherapy session.

In addition, the therapist should take into account the child’s well-developed ability to integrate his rather different ways of building contact with adults into a single system of relations.

The phenomenological, contextual and aesthetic dimensions of the Gestalt approach imply the psychotherapist's ability to use very subtle and sophisticated skills for intervening in the system of contacts between the child and the adult involved in his upbringing.

The goal of Gestalt therapy with children is to restore or maintain the possibility of life-filled interaction between a child and an adult, regardless of the complexity of the situations that arise in their real interaction.
